CuO catalyst (for removing oxygen from Nitrogen)

The CuO catalyst, developed by Hunan Xintan for the removal of oxygen from nitrogen, is formulated with a high concentration of copper oxide (CuO) and inert metal oxides. It takes the form of black cylindrical particles, each measuring 5mm in diameter and length. This catalyst stands out for its rich active component content, dense packing, cost-effectiveness, and extended service life. It serves as an efficient catalyst for removing oxygen from nitrogen or inert gases, such as helium and argon, converting oxygen to CuO without the need for external energy input. Furthermore, it is entirely free of hazardous substances. Due to its remarkable efficiency, the catalyst finds widespread application in gas treatment. The catalytic deoxidation reaction can be represented by the following equations: CuO + H2 → Cu + H2O and 2Cu + O2 → 2CuO.
